So just checking in on this thread.

Secondary scoring is down.

(So is their ice time).

We expect more from our bottom 6.

(In less ice time)

Is that a good summary?

Couldn't agree with you more. Everyone else fails to see that Keefe leans more on his top 6 then Babcock ever did. Double shifting, offensive zone starts ever chance the team gets. The bottom 6 have played limited roles lately where with Babcock it was a balanced attack.

You cannot expect players like Kapanen, Kerfoot, Engvall or others in the bottom 6 to put up the numbers as the past with half the playing time!!!

They are good players, just need to be given the ice time. But with our top 6, do you blame Keefe for doing what he is? Not too many teams in the NHL have 2 centers and 2 wingers like the Leafs do.

Not a big deal we are a below average team on 3rd and 4th lines. But based on comp to first 2 lines and the CAP which NHL puts on us this should be expected. I can't understand why the discussion here. It is a no brainer.

Try Hyman Willy and Kappy together to break trap and score early. Go with them every 2nd shift early in game and get a couple goals. It changes how teams can play us after we get a lead. They can't generate from trap so then we ride out the 2-0 win. Put the non skater types of Tavares Matty and Mitch together and let them have a pass fest.
