Crazy how little he developed. His post-draft year at age 18 he was a top scorer in the KHL (I think one of the best ever seasons for a prospect his age), was a top scorer for Finland’s WJC and then proceeded to be a top scorer as a teenager for Finland’s mens team in both the WC and Olympics. He was one of the most decorated teenage prospects we’ve seen this century.

And now….waived. Pretty incredible.

Yeah, the hype when he was first getting a spring call up was big, at least on here. What year was that, ‘18 or ‘19? I thought the hype was for a surprising playoff debut, but now I see that he never made postseason appearance till Spring ‘21

He's not ever gonna be an elite player or live up to his original hype but with proper utilization, he could be a top 6 forward. Glad Poile and Hynes would rather keep playing plugs like Smith and Jankowski over him.
