Did you watch last game? And several of his previous games?

He is super inconsistent and when he's off he's REALLY off.
I love the did you watch the last game stuff. People see what they want and a lot of people have turned into Toronto fans around here. Complain about Freddie yet its the team that ain’t getting it done. If you are trying to compare Freddie to shesterkin, he isn’t. Freddie is a solid goalie who does what he needs to keep us in the game. Which is exactly what we are paying for.
Pyotr is either going to be very solid or un technical and porous. You don’t bank your season on a maybe. Go with what you know in goal and move on.

But if Freddie has a bad game, it will be the focus of everyone’s attention. And they will pretend to know Pyotr was going to be on.

Rod wouldn't bench Andersen after he got a W. Y'all know that.

Dismissing a really poor goal like that one as "Yay one goal" when every game in the series has been decided by 1 goal is certainly a choice.
andersen has outperformed Kooch so far.

andersen is about even keeled with goals allowed. he has a .16 goals saved expected per 60. thats not shesterkin levels but its about what you would plan for. He'll miss one he shouldnt and stop one he shouldnt.

Kooch put up a -0.5 in his game played.

Small sample size argument but its not like Kooch took the the starting net from Andersen in his one start.

Kochetkov got the start in the first place because the team didn’t feel comfortable putting Andersen in net after two straight losses. And nothing in his one game since then should make the coaching staff more comfortable in toting him back out there. Yes, he got the win, but also blew a 3-1 lead, giving up a poor goal for the tying goal and his misplay behind the net set up the 2nd.

Kochetkov comes off the bench ice cold, having not played for a month at that point, and still managed to get the game to OT. And none of the goals he gave up were bad ones.

I agree here. I'd go with PK but... That ship sailed when we didn't start him vs the isles or earlier vs rags.

Wish Rod liked Kuzy more. Yes I know he’s not Jordan Staal and he’s not the greatest defensively in his end and blah blah blah, but man he just needs some confidence from his coach. We are just wasting him playing 9 minutes a night. He’s the game changer we need in this series.

Unfortunately seems like you really gotta earn Rod’s trust and if he trusts you then you’ll play more. Maybe give him a full year and see but just doesn’t seem like a Rod type player
