- SAC is a game and half out of the playoffs.

- They can't even tank with how their pick is tied to 2 trades.

- They trade their best player to a team behind them in the standings.

That's a brutal haul for a top 3, if not best center in the game. The first round pick is a crapchute, Hield is a damn rookie and very unproven.

Making the move was the right thing to do, they just executed it the only way the franchise can, which is horribly.

I'll say this, as bad as I think this trade is on paper, I do still like Hield's potential and the Kings should be in the mix for a top pick now. Probably won't go well with their history of drafting and development but there's something there.

Yeah they won't be picking top three, but they will have two top 10 picks at least. A PG and one of the SF plus Buddy is better than what they had with cousins, but they could've gotten so much more.
