He had some nice looks in the preseason. The game is just moving too fast for him at the moment. He looked better in each game he played with the big club but with a team that's pretty much intact from last year there is no room for him. Really hope he stays in the AHL and learns to play a complete game, I don't know that returning to the KHL helps his development much.
KHL is much better league than AHL. Eeli is smart guy and probaly know exatly what he have to train to take the next step.

Khl is overrated due to many bad teams. Some foreign players who went from khl to shl said that they were surprised how much faster shl is.

Either way he needs to get top line minutes, if that's in the AHL or KHL so be it. I'd rather he play on a smaller surface and in this country in case we want to recall him, but he needs to play top 6 minutes instead of playing on a grinding line just to be in the NHL.
