Tkachyov was one of the best Russian players in the WC last year. He was dangerous every time he was on the ice. Brilliant stick handler who isn't afraid to get his nose dirty in front of the goal, which is very valuable against NA teams. The biggest source of pessimism for me is that Znarok is the coach. I can't think of a single instance in which he has done a credible job. His most successful season was 2014, when he was banned from the bench for the final. Somehow, his absence made Russia all the better for it. I think it validates the old adage, "if you look like an idiot, you must be an idiot!"
