Nik was so misunderstood in the NHL, i'm happy he is know playing in the KHL where he can use his skills to the fullest.

Nik was so misunderstood in the NHL, i'm happy he is know playing in the KHL where he can use his skills to the fullest.

Nik was one of the many Russians (actually, a Russian born in Ukraine) who failed to meet expectations that he could transform himself into a North American grinder and checker overnight. This has been such a common story about Russians going to the NHL and having difficulty bridging the cultural gap. I'm happy that he has a forum for showing how talented he is in the KHL and in the WC's, where he played great!

Nicely done. I was worried for a while that Voynov might get buried somewhere in the AHL and never be allowed to show what he can do.
