Who doesnt russia have to play center if Fedorov and Zhamnov don't play at the world cup for them? Do y'all think Malkin may get to play in lieu of those two? I'm drawing a blank on russian centers.....Svitov, V.Kozlov(c/rw if I remember correctly)...ehh, what do y'all think?

Malakhv won't be there, he put an end to his international career 2 years ago.

And I'm not sure what Kovalev's position ... will he play if Fedorov, Zhamnov, Khabibulin and Markov do not?

With Zhamnov and Fedorov leaving, that would open up a spot for Nikolishin. The guy is an extremely valuable utility/defensive center. I don't know if he would accept the invite after initially not being chosen.
