It's a good thing that Holland doesn't look after the hen house, because by the time that he did something they'd all be eaten.

"Uh we need eggs, we used to have 20 a day, then 19, then 18, then 17, then 16 and then 15. I'd find feathers and blood but I just figured that the solution would be inside of the hen house. Well then there were 14 eggs a day, then 13, then 12, then 11, then 10, then 9, then 8. I'd find chewed up chicken feet so I decided that the hens were hungry and eating each other so I started to feed them more and more even though there were less hens left. Then there was 7 eggs a day, then 6, then 5, then 4, then 3, so I changed their water to bottled water because something must be in their water according to Nicholson. Then 2, then 1, and then all of the hens were dead and there were no more eggs. So I went into the hen house to see if by some chance I missed any eggs the day before and instead I found a great big and fat fox in there. So I thought, hey, if it's that fat, maybe it will lay some eggs for me? Long story short, 20 hens are dead and I've been feeding a fox for the last 2 months after the hens died hoping that it will lay me some damn eggs, no luck so far but I still would wager that the solution is inside that hen house."

Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal all threw jerseys on the ice this season, and no such reaction. Montreal’s was even after Bergevin got fired, so you’d have to say it’s directed towards the players, and not management.

The media? p***ycats. They’re harsh on players they want to scapegoat but you see that elsewhere as well.

I bet that in the end of march, all fans will praise Holland for his patience, didnt panic like his previous precedors, and making moves one by one, to inrease the momentum.

I bet you!
This tine I sit still in the boat, watching everybody running around with their hands in the air.

This day started fine ; Turris waived (Bye Turris!) Griffith recalled! Great move.

Turris cap gets smaller in AHL right? Attach the guy with a lowrounder, and send to Arizona /Ottawa.

We have done a lot of bad deals in the last ten years. For 99% of the trades and UFA signings, we can honestly say we would have been better if we had not made a single move

So what is going to be the ask on Ville Husso? 2nd round pick?

I firmly believe it would take more than that. Husso's SV% and GAA are the best in the NHL (apart from Lindgren who's played just 5 games). He still has things to prove in the NHL but I don't know why they'd let him go for such a low return.

Lindgren is the reason why I would steer way clear of Husso.

If an AHL goalie can come up and have a .960 SV% through five games, that team pretty obviously has a system that makes goalies look way better than they are.

Going with a Smith-Koskinen tandem for this season, a season with a lot of excitement going into it and a season the Oilers were touting as "going all in" (lol) ... really feels like one of the biggest mistakes in the history of the franchise.

And that's saying something given we employed Peter Chiarelli, Tambellini, and Mac T.

Could be, I really don't know enough about this so can't say much. But I just don't understand why someone would give away a prospect like Husso for a 2nd rounder with the numbers he's made. It's not like they'd have a great chance to use that 2nd to get something better.

Because they have Lindgren to fill the role for the rest of this season, Hofer and Colton Ellis in the minors with Hofer likely ready for backup duty next year, and Husso likely lookig for an opportunity to get more playing time on a team with a hole rather than being behind Binnington and his 6 year contract, he’s a UFA at seasons end. St. Louis doesn’t need the second per se, but it’s currency for the deadline to add a piece to the puzzle like a depth defender, etc.

I don't see the Blues trading Husso. Binnington has only been average.

I would Koskinen for Greiss if it's on the table. Saves us a bit of cash for the deadline.

why cant they try Kono?

I sort of think its McDavid. And the Oilers.

The league is too good at game planning against this duo now. They've played so much they have gone stale.

So they need a coach that can win without McDrai----but im not sure the Oilers are built to win without McDrai.

I wouldn't mind having Husso, but Lindgren has played only 12 games during this and three previous seasons. Even if they are ready to trade Husso I think it would take more than a 2nd.

I'm fine with a 1st (protected) + if we are getting a guy who can be a legit long term starter for us and we get rid of Koskinen.

Give this team a goalie they can trust, have Kane come in a bring energy, get McDrai back on their game... this team should have no problem getting back in the playoffs

There's other players I would want first, but Husso, even if though I'm a bit skeptical, makes alot of sense because he's cheap enough to just fit right now and he's a UFA you can walk away from if he doesn't play well

Nuge for Swayman seems like the best thing they could do. Nuge does sweet FA 5v5 half the time and Bos needs a 2nd line C
