Why would we want someone hurting our forwards?
What?
You use the picks at the trade deadline or this offseason to go hard for a proven #1 defenceman and another decent centreman. Makes us a better team NOW when you flip them for proven players.
I'm most scared of the Flames. Really like what they've done with their defence:
Giordano-Hamonic
Brodie-Hamilton
Bartkowski-Stone
Pretty damn solid d
Any other rumors out there as to who the Oilers are looking at? Lots of names already gone, but still some big names left.
Closer to $6.5 million for Thornton, according to Strickland.
Nobody wants the last 2 draft picks as they are 3 and 4 years away, so you are left with 2018 and 2019 late first round picks to get a #1 dman? AND that is assuming the team that offersheets even has a 2018 1st round pick, it could be 2019,2020,2021,2022
I bet Marleau will re-sign too.

I don't think they can offersheet without next years 1st...
What did Rishaug say? My feed is frozen on Farhan

Solid, but not spectacular especially facting in problems in net and at forward. Hamonic and Stone won't somehow propel them to the top.
McDavid contract likely to be signed near the end of this week.
Draisaitl's ask for an extension might be 9+ for 8 years.

it's different rule for 4 1st rounders, it can start with the next year available
At that number, I'd much rather have him traded...

Yep. See ya. He's had 1 good year attached to the best player in the world. How he can command that money is beyond me.
