What gets me is they didn’t build any new feuds or storylines. Maybe one of Styles eliminating Omos. Rumble storylines usually lead into Mania matches.

Shane was a surprise for me but he battled with Owens mainly. They have had a big match before. In my opinion he was a wasted spot.

They should have had some backstage video of Lesnar taking out the #30 contestant. Maybe Woods would be my top choice there.

I would have brought in either Walter / Gunther or Bron Breakker and have them run wild. Eliminate multiple people and build them up to look like a monster. Easy to build a storyline from there.

Storyline wise, it never made sense for guys to be on the undercard but not the rumble. Like why would Edge want to be in a tag match instead of the rumble? Why did Brock get to be in the rumble? Why was the SD Women's champion in the rumble? Not sure if any of this was explained.

Walter would've been perfect to brutalize Johnny Knoxville if you think about it.

Charlotte was in it because she wanted to pick her opponent for Wrestlemania.

Brock, I guess they just wanted the pop at the music hit and feign surprise. The crowd anticipates and pops the best for each entrant.

It was okay. Once Rousey appeared she seemed destined to win. Obviously they wanted a Lesnar/Reigns Wrestlemania match so either Brock was fighting at Wrestlemania twice with one belt and winning the Rumble or Reigns and/or Heyman cost him the title then he wins the Rumble. One of the recent Rumbles, maybe the 2020 one but not 100% certain, was booked perfectly. The entry order, the confrontations, the spots, the entire match start to finish was perfect. Last night didn't have the same flow. Random people fighting for no reason, simply killing time, the women's was booked better but still not great.

Watched the Rumble this morning. It was reasonable for what it was. If they are insistent on having a women's Rumble they should cut it to 20 entrants. Too long and reliant on too many special appearances to get up to 30. I went to the Rumble in Phoenix a few years ago. They had the women's Rumble as the longest match on the card and they did not have the talent to run it that long.

Toothpaste is out of the tube. If the men go 30, the women have to as well.

It would be a bad look to have less entrants than the men.

But you're right about them filling it up with non-roster appearances every year. And not even that big of names. Sarah Logan making a surprise entry is the equivalent of someone like Tyler Reks being a surprise entrant in the men's rumble.

And they called Summer Rae a legend.

How does Randy Orton in his home town lasts less than Bad Bunny and Shane O Mac, especially with a late number?

Is there an injury again?

Reks would actually be a surprise entrant in the women’s rumble these days, she goes by Gabbi

from Sunday's pwinsider.com:

If you were among those disenchanted with the WWE Royal Rumble PPV, you were not alone.

We've heard from a number of sources in the company who were frustrated with the constant changes in the Rumble matches over the course of the last week and felt that was a direct cause for the quality (or lack of) for the Rumble matches themselves. As we reported earlier, one source noted the Men's Rumble alone changed "20 times" over the course of the days leading to the Rumble matches between spots that were devised, changed and discarded, changes in eliminations, order of entrances and even interactions between talents. We have since heard that was the experience for the Women's Rumble match as well. All of the changes led to a frustrating day for talents with a lot of moving parts that kept shifting, so for some, it just turned into a confusing hodgepodge of things they needed to remember or dispose of mentally. It all came down from Vince McMahon as he had his fingers deep in every aspect of the PPV.

The morale after the show was very down compared to most recent WWE PPVs because as one talent (who commented under condition of anonymity) stated, "We were all in a whirlwind. Just as you had your role and spots down, everything started over and over and now most of us were back to square one. It changed again and again and again. It wasn't an easy night even before we hit the ring."

WWE President Nick Khan was at the Rumble, arriving to the building with Shane McMahon.

Ben LeDoux sent word in his live report from the Royal Rumble that the Wrestlemania sign was burning AGAIN after the pyro for Brock Lesnar's Rumble win.

A number of readers, including Tim Windhalm, noted that overhead spotlight that WWE used around the ring last night in St. Louis was blinding fans in the audience and there was a consistent “turn the light off” chant that keep popping up between Rumble entrants.

We've been asked if Johnny Knoxville's ring gear was a tribute to Andy Kaufman. I haven't heard that was the case, but I could certainly see the similarities.

The crowd lights at televised wrestling shows has been an issue for years. I sat in the upper deck for a PPV in 1997 and had to keep my head in a certain position or the light was directly in my face. Didn't notice them on the floor for a PPV around 2013 but they were a minor distraction in the lower bowl for a 2019 PPV. If you're going to a WWE televised event wear a hat, bring sunglasses to use as needed and maybe ear plugs if it's a Raw or Smackdown due to the loud noise during commercial breaks.

They did Sasha Banks dirty, too. Just had her last a few mins and then get dumped so easily by f***ing Zelina.

Looked like Daniel Bryan in 2015. "Oh, you guys are behind her! Lets make her look like a geek!"

Overall, that was an awful Rumble PPV.

Her coming out as sailor moon, I figured that meant it would be a big night for her, or save it for Wrestlemania
