Because once again, there is no danger in a broken bone getting worse. His injury is something he could get through with pain management.
Sorry dude, you have had some garbage takes and clearly don't know what you are going on about, or generalizing stuff so you can easily walk back on them. Broken bones can get worse and not properly caring for it could lead to delayed or nonunioned bones. Nonunion fractures are most common in foot and lower body fractures.
Pure speculation on your part in regards to the injury and that it's something that he could get through with pain management.
If Jarry is playing tomorrow then he could’ve played Friday. Two days doesn’t suddenly heal a broken bone.
So if he could have played Friday, could he have played Wednesday?
And if he could have played Wednesday, could he have played Monday?
And if he could have played Monday, could he have played Saturday?
And if he could have played Saturday, could he have played Thursday?
And if he could have played Thursday, could he have played Tuesday?
Lol…on Jarry: DK said on one of his segments today or last night that he watched Jarry practice before Game 5 in NY and he could not push off and move laterally, that he seemed in a lot of discomfort…and so they’re trying to buy him more time…Phil Bourque said even though he knows nothing about whether numbing a goalie’s foot would have any impact on his performance, that Jarry needs to take a needle and play tomorrow regardless …I mean, does that sound like a guy who’s ready to play?

Didn't Sid deal with a f***ed up wrist for like a decade because it was never properly fixed or healed properly?
(fwiw I think Jarry's probably fine to go, even if he's not at absolute 100%.)
Yeah, but I'm sayin', there's obvious cause to bring Jarry along slowly, even facing elimination. Injuries can be weird and last a long f***ing time if they don't get repaired and/or heal properly. It was Reaves in 2014 that injured Crosby's wrist. Happened after the Olympics

We agree that there's a concern over Jarry's conditioning and timings, for sure. But none of us know what's up with his foot, even if there's a general consensus for expected recovery time. Sid, again, is proof that expected doesn't always go to plan. He had multiple procedures on his wrist over the years and long summers to recover on top of that, but the injury screwed him up for almost a decade. As I said above, Jarry is past the healing window and is in the rehab stage. The issue is not him reinjuring his foot, it's his conditioning and whether or not he can prove to the coaching staff that he will play at an acceptable level.

Carter needs to play better than he dresses

He's dressing like the informants on Miami Vice, Izzy and Noogie. Lol
The best are the posters that suffered similar injuries thirty years ago chiming in. Apparently, they’ve made no advances in medicine in that time. Never mind the fact that NHL players see the best in the medical field.Man, I never knew there were so many orthopedic specialists on HFboards. Who can I DM about some shoulder issues I've been experiencing?
Remember when everyone here was an expert on Sid and CTE and neuroscience?Man, I never knew there were so many orthopedic specialists on HFboards. Who can I DM about some shoulder issues I've been experiencing?

There’s always risk in something getting worse when you don’t give your body time to heal. If Jarry’s experiencing a ton of pain in his foot while playing, he could start favoring other parts of his body, leading to increased pressure on other muscles, joints, etc. In a sport and position with quick, powerful movements, Jarry could very easily risk creating another injury.Because once again, there is no danger in a broken bone getting worse. His injury is something he could get through with pain management.
Domingue is probably a better option given the requirements of his injury, but I guarantee if he plays Sunday, he could’ve played earlier if needed.
Sid looks ready to me
