Wheeler gonna be in next game for Rempe imo.

Next game? Wheeler is still in a non contact Jersey. How will he play? Chytl has been practicing as a regular for a month now and still isn’t in.

When the staff feels chytl is ready and in game shape, he will play

Chytil is closer to being ready and we are supposed to think Wheeler potentially playing is good news? Happy for him, but where in the lineup does he make sense?

Perfect world:
Kreider Mika Jack
Panarin Tro Laf
Cuylle Chytil Kakko
Vesey Wenn Goodrow

Rempe and Wheeler next up.

I actually think:

Kreider-Mika-Roslovic
Panarin-Trochek-Lafreniere
Chytil-Wennberg-Kakko
Cuylle-Goodrow-Vesey

Wheller
Rempe

I like the idea of Chytil coming back and playing a more simplified game coming off the wing with (20 guys who can get in on the forecehck and retrieve pucks. Cuylle with Goodrow and Vesey should be able to wear teams down and get chances.

Our "fifth line" of Rempe-Brodzinski-Wheeler in this scenario is better than the third line was at actual points of the season.

Wheeler looked pretty terrible for most of the season.

He was trending in the right direction honestly and let's not forget, the guy was being paid peanuts and playing WAY above where he should have been for much of it. Playing with Kreider and Zibanejad at 5v5. Playing Wheeler as a 4th line option to provide size and reach would be a good move.

Wheeler skating is HUGE. It's a NHL regular with quite a bit of playoff experience who can provide depth in the next week or so. Maybe not this round but that's a really positive change.
Agreed. He's slow as molasses, but he plays a hard, responsible game. He doesn't belong in the Top-9, but we could do much worse on the 4th line if we sustain some injuries.

Only one New York Ranger has not been on-ice for a goal against. Who is he?

edit: I mean the playoffs.

Trouba has been on ice for 1 goal against. First PPGA vs Washington that Lindgren turned into an odd man rush.

5v5? Trouba is the only one who hasn't been on the ice for a goal against.

Ryan Lindgren leads the circuit for all situations goals against with 6 and at 5v5 with 4 and has the highest xGA 5v5 by almost a full goal.

We solved our Trouba problem by playing him less. Wish we could do the same for #55.

Edit: 5 on 5 Wennberg, Kakko and Cuylle haven't been on the ice for a goal against either. Yesterday was the first time they got scored on and it was 6 on 5.

Right on Trouba, not sure why the stats page I looked at has oiSH% against wrong.

Trouba's still at 19:31 so far so they're not playing him all that much less, just not as a matchup guy.
