As underwhelming as it is to have a high pick this year, it’s the perfect season to stockpile 2nds/3rds. So many prospects have been displaced to leagues they aren’t used to, playing in shortened seasons, or are dealing with big breaks/quarantine before games. There are going to be some absolute gems in the second or third round who didn’t get the chance to showcase their development this draft.

As sad as I am to see Rittich go, considering our team refuses to give Markstrom any rest anyways I think this was a great move.

Edit: Disregard all that, pick is a 2022 3rd.
