From the Admirals Roundtable dated January 2, 2017:

Reid Boucher was claimed on waivers by the New Jersey Devils. That’s the organization that Boucher had been part of before the Nashville Predators plucked him off of waivers in early-December.

Harry Zolnierczyk has been recalled by the Predators from the Admirals.

So Boucher's new team is his old team. I have to wonder why Harry Z didn't get the call up in the first place, but I guess Poile/Fenton are trying to find players for the teams.

Meet the new team. Same as the old team.

Tomorrow, I may meet my new boss, who is really the same as my old boss. Good thing that we always got along!

For PP: Harry Z. Left handed left wing who has played 61 NHL games, including one for Nashville! I don't know how that escaped my attention. His hockeydb.com picture has a Preds jersey. He has 5 G and 4 A with 85 PIMs. He is 29 years old, he is 5'11" and 180 pounds, is a good skater and a smart player.

In Milwaukee, he has 6 G and 10 A in 24 games with 20 PIMs.

I don't understand this move at all.

Why isn't Aberg getting more playing time? What's the reasoning behind HZ's call up?

And yes, HZ played for the Ducks.

Understand why jersey waved him but why did Nashville waive him? he's got one goal in three games as plus one. what's wrong with him?

I assume that the waiver was to get him to Milwaukee as a depth player.

Harry Z has good speed, at least at the AHL level.

Maybe so, but it still makes zero sense to waive him to call up a guy who for the most part is a career AHL player. He's 29 with 61 games played and 9 career points, 37 of those games came in 2011-2012.
