Greene came up with a couple of quality performances in Game 7 and Game 1 of the Finals. But the one area the Rangers have an advantage on the Kings is speed, this move helps cut down on that.

Regehr is slower than Greene, though.

Greene's had his best games since 2012, I wouldn't bench him.. Mitchell's looking pretty good too. I'd rather not mess with what we've got now for an unknown commodity, even though we know Regehr can bring it playoff time.

i like it, he can be very useful as a joker in 4-5 or even 5-4 situations.

edit, 4 hours after, after a long check of clips and stats: greene must stay, if that's the dilemma. greene > regehr. uber bigger.

No way will they do 7D again, let's not forget how much of a mess that was the last time they did that.

They will probably get Mitchell back with Martinez, and that pairing works just fine together, and have Regehr with Voynov.

This might be some sorta ploy to get Voynov going by putting him back with his normal D partner. Not that I think that'll work or anything.

Regehr may not be 100% healthy, but he's still much better than Greene. Better skater (which says a lot about Greene) and more reliable in our zone. I cringe every time Matt Greene hits the ice, especially in OT.

Rags are getting Moore back, we get Regehr back. Not sure who benefits more, but I'd go with NY because Moore will replace Diaz.
