I am in favor of standing pat at the deadline, unless there is a better deal than seems likely for a rw.
The kakko/brodz/cuylle 3rd line is a matchup advantage most of the time. The bread line is a matchup advantage most of the time. The current 4th line looks like a matchup advantage most of the time. If mika/kreider/vesey can start being deployed more like a 2nd line and not 1st line minutes, the forward group is actually great outside of that line.
Upgrading the D would be wonderful, but seems unlikely/impossible. Who can you get that bumps lindgren to 3rd pair? And then do you sit gus or schneider, who to me both seem better than lindgren right now?
So i say stand pat, dance with the date you came with.
ETA - teams that win championships across all sports do it with unlikely youngsters coming on late. The 4th line with the Titan twins is the kind of ahmad bradshaw-type infusion that can make a difference.
