What were/are the top lines of all time from teams.I cant remember all the great ones.I know the Flyers had the LCB line, the Legion of Doom, the Crazy 8s
Who played RW with Joliat and Morenz? Lucky guy...
Frank Nighbor was their LW in 1915 when they won the Cup. After that it was Barney Stanley and Gordie Roberts. Of course with the rover it's a little hard to say who was the "line".Who was the lucky guy that skated with Cyclone Taylor and Mickey MacKay?
15 posts and no mentions of the French Connection or The Prodcution Line? Wow.
Gilbert Perreault, Rick Martin and Rene Robert
Sid Abel, Gordie Howe, Ted Lindsay
Also if memory serves Sergei Federov centered Alex Mogilny and Pavel Bure in a World Junior tournament.
Looking in The Trail of the Stanley Cup, it says in the game without the rover it was Taylor at C, Nighbor at RW, and MacKay at LW. In games with rover it was Taylor at R, MacKay at C, Nighbor at RW and Barney Stanley at LW.Frank Nighbor was their LW in 1915 when they won the Cup. francis-lemieux-jagr
95- 96
lemieux had 161 points (69 goals)
jagr had 149 points (62 goals)
francis had 119 points (92 assists)
ended up finishing 1, 2, 4 in scoring/ 1 , 2 in goals/ 1,2,3 in assists
96-97
lemieux had 121 points
jagr had 95 points in 63 games (47 goals, only 5 behind the leader)
francis had 90 points
Lemieux won scoring again, Jagr finished 6th but would have been second for sure , francis tied for 8th
Correct. In 1995-96, Francis and Jagr played on a line with Petr Nedved. Nedved responded with a career high 99 points. The Lemieux-Francis-Jagr trio did play a lot together on the PP, often with Francis on the point. (Francis rates among the best forwards ever for anchoring the point with a man advantage).I thought Jagr and Francis were the other line back in 95-96 while Mario anchored a different line.
Mario playing on LW with Francis was only a single season or two.
