RD Joel Nyström - Farjestad, SHL (2021, 219th, CAR)

I searched and I did not see a thread for this guy.

At age 21, he is a top pairing RD on a good team in the SHL and producing around a 0.5 PPG.

Are we looking at a potential top 4 defenceman in the NHL or just a smallish PP specialist who makes it as a bottom pairing guy at most?

At this point, I’d be happy if he become anything more than an emergency band aid kind of call up. He just doesn’t have the right mindset for the tools he has, if I can say. It seems like he’s trying to be too much every time he step on the ice, and it’s not working unless it’s on the PP. Could still find a way to a complete rework of his game but not holding my breath.
