45-50 seems reasonable don't really want to set the expectations high. Time to just sit back and watch the team gel and grow. It's not like a light switch we are not all of a sudden going to be on fire

Rasmussen scored on 0.5ppg pace last year without getting any significant PP time, he was actually second best ES scorer after Larkin. I think 45-50 might be reasonable to expect but, to get beyond 50 point he will need to feature at least on a sceond PP unit.

I imagine Debrincat is gonna rip a few in, Datsyuk off Abdelkader style, off Rasmussens ass this year. I actually also think having Debrincat and Raymond in the top 6 this year makes it even more likely Ras seems minutes up there to provide some size.

Not sure I would bet over 50 points, even if he got some ok PP minutes. But I think thats a really good number to aim for

That opinion is completely fine but 45 point players who are physical, can play wing or center, big bodied and a two way game make much more than 1.4 million. I'm not saying hes a 4.5 million a year guy, but when the cap goes up this off season, dont be surprised if he gets a decent chunk of change either

I know people will point to cups and what not, but Killorn and Palat have been 45ish point guys most of their careers and both are pulling $6m on the wrong side of 30. If Ras can put up 45-50 points, he's definitely getting paid.

I’m fine with him at his current price point but he just strikes me as a half PPG, big bodied two way forward who plays a pretty straight forward game but don’t see him as a big difference maker for us.
Here's a list of everyone bigger than Ras who scored at a higher clip than him the last season:

Think his next level would be Chytil production. 2018 draft-class mate, who scored 22+23=45 points and 0.61 points per game at last season.

Got 4.4M for 4 years.

Last season Rasmussen scored with 0.52 points per game. Raising that level a bit and playing full healthy season is needed.

Staying at 0.52 points per game level, he'll get only 3.8M extension.

Rasmussen
Last season 56 games, 10+19=29 points (0.52 ppg)
projected 82-game pace, 14+26=40 points

Chytil 74 games, 22+23=45 (0.61 ppg)
projected 82-game pace, 24+26=50 points.

He is 6'7
They're both listed at 6'6" on their respective team websites.

Not even sure why it matters, this isn't basketball, no team has ever won a Stanley Cup based on height advantage.

Raz needs to fill out some more, he's currently listed at 211, Tage is at 220, Lucic has them both at 240.

Closer to 6'7. 6'6 and 3/4 The imperial units are just not very precise.

What's a computer?
Wasnt really thinking clear when i made OP.
Will ras score 30? No.
30 assists? Unlikely.

Realistically, a good healthy year for ras will be 50-55 points

Seemed like he was a key cog in the winning streak last year prior to him getting hurt. Really like how his game was taking shape last year.
