Aside of Nash, 2012 was bad, wow.

Let's sign everyone who likes to wrestle on the ice and can't play hockey!

Land of no calls..
2016 has gone well, but too early to tell what the long-term impact will be.

Could make a case for 2005 simply because they added some great players around Jagr, and brought Hank over for his debut. Adding one of the best players in the history of the franchise makes for a pretty damn good summer. Drafted Staal and Sauer that year as well. Signed Girardi as a FA. That offseason spawned an immediate turn around for a team that was pretty damn bad before the lockout.

Boy, if reading those 2008 UFA acquisitions doesn't make your stomach turn, you are made of stronger stuff than I am. Putrid. I think I had managed to completely repress the Kalinin and Voros signings until today...
