With the exceptions of 1 and 31 - the teams i like or dislike changes a lot based on their current roster. For example, i was not fond of the Pronger/Richards Flyers and was a big fan of the Kariya/Selanne Ducks. I just can't like any team that Ryan Kesler or James Neal play for.

This has to be one of the most lamest excuses I have ever come across when it comes to not liking the Maple Leafs. "Oh I like the Leafs, but I hate there fans"...what exactly is so different about Leafs fans from every other fanbase in the NHL? The sheer fact they're just bigger means there's a larger proportion of trolls. That's all it is. This isn't rocket science and it's not a conspiracy from the NHL or TSN or Sportsnet either.

I don't hate teams. They have nothing to do with the fanbases.

Habs fans have arguably a larger fan base, but they aren't nearly as problematic. Also, it's not a blanket statement for all fans, just the majority of those that voice their opinion. Toronto fans were once the butt end of every joke and now some are turning that backlash onto other fan bases. Canucks fans gravitate to personal attacks very easily without provocation for whatever reason. I just can't have reasonable conversations with Leaf or Canucks fans. It just does not happen very often, whether it be Facebook, forums or in person. It's my personal experience. I've had a much easier time with other big fan bases like the Oilers, Flames and Habs fans.

Every fan base has their village idiots. I don't hate the Leafs or Canucks. I hate toxic and extremely smug fans who you can't have a conversation with.

Yes, that explains why the Habs are always on CBC Hockey Night in Canada prime time 7:00pm slot...because "they have arguably the larger fanbase".

There's a reason why the Maple Leaf games are broadcast in China and Australia and not the Canadiens. Take a wild guess why that is.

Furthermore, the majority of Canadiens fans speak French. Be lucky you can't understand or speak French because toxicity would go to a whole new level if you knew what Habs Nation was feeling right now.
