Went with Lamb. add Väisänen.

We reached the point where it's long-shot prospects and IMO it's better to vote for pure upside than anything else because of the low probability of any of them making it.

I disagree, but that's the fun with prospect polls. I think sometimes older prospects get punished because they don't have Top-6 F or Top-4 D upside.

I went with Scanlin. The kid has continued to take a larger role and get better in his second year as a pro. He has all the tools and a pro frame. He could probably step in right now, if we needed him to. He'll never be anything more than a steady bottom-pair defender, but having those kinds of players waiting in the wings brings tremendous organizational value. Successful teams seem to be able to plug and play those types constantly.

I like Scanlin but the fact they have not called him up to play a game or 2 by now, does worry me. Same with Robertson, their time is running out.

Why was Harpur and Mackey given time over Scanlin including last season. That is telling
It could be because the team is not high on Scanlin or Harpur and Mackey are veterans who have NHL experience or because Harpur and Mackay were serving as 7th D and it didn't make sense to take Scanlin out of the lineup and have him sit with the Rangers.

During the preseason he did not get into a game but he was scheduled to play in two games. He was listed as playing in the game in Boston. Because I am out of market I had the Boston feed on the NHL Network. The Boston announcers were talking during the game I think about Schneider and mentioned he was a late addition because of a scratch, which I presume was Scanlin. He also was penciled into the lineup to play the game that was postponed because of the rain storm.

I think those of us who have watched the Pack this year would agree that Scanlin has been a rock on defense and more impressive than Robertson. Scanlin is not waiver exempt next year so if he doesn't make the team he could be lost as was Emberson.

It could be because the team is not high on him or because the team was more comfortable bringing up Harpur and Mackay who both have NHL experience or because Harpur and Mackay were serving as 7th defensemen and unlikely to play and it made sense to keep Scanlin with the Pact and let him play.

I think that others who have watched the Pack this year would agree that Scanlin has been a rock on defense and more consistent and impressive than Robertson. But Robertson has had a few call ups while Scanlin has not.

Scanlin add Roobroeck with Ollas next.

And no sooner than we had this discussion that the Rangers make this announcement, which would indicate some interest in the player.
