Here we go again! Same rules as before. Please nominate a player to be added to the list (Will Cuylle has NOT played 65 games and WILL still be eligible, as will Zac Jones). I have a feeling #1 will be very close again.

I'm going with Gabe slightly over Othmann. I think we got something special with this kid.

Add Fortescue, who will easily be our biggest raiser in the ranking, as will a couple of our NCAA guys.

For me Perreault and Othmann are 1. and 1A. Othmann is closer to the NHL today for sure. Perreault's performance in the recent WJC's though were eye opening. I don't think his and his line started out as well as the other top two lines but by the time the tournament ended it was the best line.

Top 3 scorers for USA

Gauthier 2-10-12
Brinkley 6-4-10
Perreault 3-7-10--a goal and two assist in the Gold Medal game.

Howard led with 7 goals had 9 points. Will Smith Perreault's linemate ended 4-5-9. Gauthier, Brinkley and Howard each in their second tournament and this was Gabriel's first and he'll be eligible next year.

All this brings me to Perreault being the guy I would pick first. Just a sneaky, smart player who has a knack for showing up on the scoresheet. Also no issues going to dirty areas or battling for pucks. Probably will have to work a bit on his defensive play but that goes for pretty much every young forward including Jack Hughes and Connor Bedard.

Need to go with Gabe. Finished 1 last time and stock has gone up so no reason to move him down a spot.

Think we can just skip to 3 though either way. Honestly can prob skip to 5; nothing really has justified any change in the top 4

adding Garand because again there is no reason to drop him; prob BMB next

Yup. Close call for me too. Went with Gabe, but am still high on Otter.

Zac to the moon.

Pre-season I had Othmann at 1, but the performance in the NCAA as a freshman by Perreault, changes that even though it's still very close.

Perreault no 1
Othmann no 2

Add Adam Edström

I like that a ton of guys on this list are going to jump because they're having strong seasons.

Berard, Fortescue, Laba, Chmelar should all see decent to sizable jumps.

Barbashev blows and should be out of the top 20, but the rest of the names probably play out the same.

I think I had Othmann over Perreault last time, and I'm gonna stick with it. Gabe has a little higher ceiling, but Otter is pretty close with a slightly bigger frame and a unique combination of tools.

If anyone voted Gabe because they are believers in his upside, then I get it. I want nothing more than for them to both have long Ranger careers and to be wrong about voting Otter #1 here!

Add Berard & Garand.

I know I'm sleeping on Forte, Edstrom, BMB, and others, but we've got some guys, guys!

It was Perrault before and it’s even more clearly Perrault now.

I think Othmann is a little overrated.
