C Patrik Virta won round 25. C Morgan Barron is added to the poll.

RULES CHANGE:

Since HF no longer functions beyond the forum, no reason to have their old rules. We do, however, need the same rules for everyone or else the rankings mean nothing.

SKATER PROSPECT: A player 24 or younger with 50 or fewer NHL games.

GOALIE PROSPECT: A player 25 or younger with 25 or fewer NHL games.

EXCEPTION 1: If a player completed the required 50/25 games, but is still not regarded as an NHL regular because he's shuffling between the NHL and the AHL, he could still be a prospect as long as he's 24 or younger and if agreed upon by most people here.

EXCEPTION 2: A player who is no older than 25 years old at the time of the vote and is a borderline NHLer could still count if agreed upon by most people here.

Please vote on who to add to the next round of polling.

Went with Fontaine because Leslie is claiming the Rangers like him.

Add Chris Nell because he put up terrific stats in Bowling Green. Goalies take longer to develop so who knows.

Fontaine, add Lettieri

Personally i would have Fontaine a few spots higher, think he's very good and he plays a game which should translate well to the pros.

Halverson. Lettieri.

Pretty good prospect list when the likes of the two above are still struggling to get ranked.

Fontaine is one of those guys who could be a bottom 6 forward for the next 10 years and everyone wonders how we ranked certain guys ahead of him.

Still went with Halverson on a gamble.

Halverson. It wasn't that long ago that we were counting on him to be the heir apparent. He hasn't lost his skill set, and I think he'll bounce back this year.

I'd have Fontaine much higher, I think he can be a solid bottom sixer. Add Lettieri

I'd have Fontaine a bit higher too, but i understand why he's here, his ceiling doesn't look very high in comparison to most of those ahead of him.

Fairly high floor though imo.

He's a bit of a wild card. His overall game looks like it could be a good fit for the pro game, but there are question marks about the skill level.

Some guys don't put up a ton of points at the junior level, but because their game isn't based around production, they find a role easier. Years ago, it was a little more clear cut. Even your bottom six guys usually put up decent points at some level.

Gophers are likely moving him up to be a forward.

He's listed on their roster as a D, or was as of a few days ago. OSU was actually the first to discuss moving him to forward but it obviously never came to fruition as he had the heart thing and couldn't play. I don't know what Minnesota looks like or where the need is (or what the plan is for him).

He was never good, he just played on a dominant team that was running over everyone so he won 40 games that season. His GAA and SV% were underwhelming even on a spectacular team. Next team, they became downright bad.

I'll disagree a bit on this.

The following season, that kid battling back from a dreadful start, made adjustments and showed the kind of resilience you want to see from a prospect. From December on, he was more than solid.

Now whether he can make adjustments at the pro level remains to be seen.
