dawes was fairly likely to be cut, he needs some time in the AHL to adjust to the higher level. from all accounts he had a pretty good camp but nothing that would solidify him a spot in the lineup. would have liked to see him get more games but i think the rangers are trying to get their roster intact so they can play teh last few preseason games with their normal roster

there's probably several threads with potential lineups for the rangers in their forum...
