They tried to hype up the Buffalo-New Jersey game with fight videos to try to pass it up as an important rivalry. They try too hard...

I have no issue with calling it a major matchup but rivalry? Not so sure about that.

I am just going to chalk it up to they have no say in the scheduling and there's no alternative.

I would imagine the nbc sports contracts has a clause in it where each team has to be show x amount of times.

Since they chose wednesday night to be their National game night they have to go with what the NHL Schedules. Might just make more sense to find something better then calling it Rivalry night.

If they're going to call it rivalry night, then the NHL schedule makers should do a bit of a better job to put actual rivalries on the schedule for that night.

I like National games. I always hated them because of Doc, but I guess after the playoff run Doc has grown on me.
