This team is already embarrassing. See ya in a month if they are somehow competitive then.

I can't wait to see the ump scorecard this game, this guy is missing both in the zone and out of the zone pitches. Just an awful performance.

This team really needs McCutchen or Davis to step up here. Reynolds and Hayes are having phenomenal games at the plate and getting on base, these guys are in the #4 and #5 spots to drive them in.

Eh McCutchen weak groundout scores 1, making it 5-4. Productive out but you were really hoping for something better there.

Up to Davis now. Single likely makes this 6-5. And he strikes out, dammit.

I'm absolutely not going to jump to any conclusions after one game, but if Cruz puts up 4 more performances against lefties like he has today, I'd be opening a discussion on "why should we treat Cruz differently than Suwinski against left hand starters?".

Lmao Cruz then immediately makes me look like a dumbass by hitting a nuke

5-5

Big inning here for Bourucki. The Marlins churned through some more bullpen guys early, though obviously everyone is fresh so it's not like they can't roll out whatever they want.

Still, feels like we haven't had a quick pitching inning all game. Need to get it done with the top of the order lined up for the 9th.

Hayes is just absurd. Maybe he can run into one off Scott, who was good last year but was not super sharp in his limited spring games.

It's nice to see that the bullpen is still working really well even with Holderman and Mlodzinski out. Stratton was a bit wild but Borucki looked damn solid.

They didn't put up a ton of runs off of Luzardo, but getting him out of the game after only 5 innings is going to be really helpful if this game goes to extras. Miami is on their 5th reliever already today, and frankly none of them look very sharp.

Absolutely heinous strike 3 call on McCutchen. That wasn't even close to a strike.

Dammit Davis absolutely barreled one but he was robbed by the Marlins 3rd baseman.

Strike zone has been all over the place for the past several innings.

Don't feel great about our chances now -- coin flip at best with these new rules. The Davis hit was our chance and Burger just made a great play.
