Let’s not act like what the Avs did against the Jets was just them exposing some overrated BS opponent. The Jets were stacked, one of the league’s toughest teams to score against with a rock solid D and goaltending combo….and the Avs lit them up for 5+ goals in 5 consecutive games including 4 consecutive dominating victories.

I truly believe the Avs were, until today’s news about Nichushkin, as legit of a contender as anyone including Dallas….and that this series was destined to be a 7 game war.

Unfortunately now we’ll never know. Dallas is too much to handle when you’re missing such key components at such a crucial time.

At the point that they made that comment, shots were like 6-2 at evens. It wasn’t the slaughter that the period turned out to be, and they acknowledged that Dallas was better to that point as well. Seems like a fairly reasonable take compared to your reaction.

Benn probably could’ve kept from interfering with Georgiev a bit better even with Manson on him but do agree why Manson doesn’t get a double minor there.
