Question: Belle Centre Song

I dont know but it sucks, as does most of the tunes the DJ plays there.

We need to try and seduce the Dallas DJ into playing music at the Bell.

One of the best game I've ever attended at the Bell Center was the game vs Vancouver this past December. Everything was perfect during that game ... People who attended the game will understand what I'm saying.

It's a crappy song!!

The Habs dont have a hard time scoring goals, they chose not to score because they just don't want to hear that song is all.

Bring back that U2 song... or anything for that matter... what a crappy goal song!!

Man I hate that song, I think it's disgusting for a sports event. The DJ needs to play some Migos and Rich Homie Quan.

It's not half as bad as people are making it out to be. I personally was a fan of L'Oreille when I was younger but when it came back the second time around, it wasn't as great anymore. I really don't hate this song. It's much better than Vertigo.

So I undertook the much more daunting task than previously thought of translating this song.

The french language has a lot of expressions that can't be translated in english (English is much less complex than French its a fact)

Here in Quebec, it doesn’t get cold, it freezes
It’s like this because it’s just that and it’s all fine
We got lots of room
And our battles we do them on the ice
So, we tie our skates and our helmets
Just like Maurice, we slide in the arena with hate towards defeat
And fire in our eyes
When we want it, we can…
Win!

In long gone times, when francos were called Canadiens
In a time when pucks were made of crap
We reunited men which destinies were common to a film without end
In Technicolor and tricolore
Blue like the St-Laurent
White like winter
Red like the blood that runs through our veins
The core of the team is the heart of the nation
Every year, it has to close with a celebration

They’ll never say it has it is on the news
But the social bond of Montreal
When it is about hockey
We don’t it do it lightly, OK?
It’s more than a sport
It’s a metaphor of our destiny
That’s what it resembles us
That’s what unites us
Anglo, franco whatever the color of your skin
If you hate Toronto, the blood that moves in your arteries
Is as red, my brother, than the jersey of our

Twenty hearts of winners that fight with honor
The Canadiens for once rally all Quebecers
Twenty Hearts of winners for better and for worst
The Montreal Canadiens: a national team

A game plan that we respect to the letter
An alert goalie
Good bodychecks
Passes tape to tape
And precise and dry shots to the net
It’s like that that we want to earn our stripes
But when it’s going bad, when we tank or we slide
Better not see a ****er leave the ship
It’s not this morning that we’ll our skates
A Flying Frenchman, frankly! It reaches without flinching
Go ahead Habitants, we you want to put it in
There’s a little bit of us in it
We stand with you and we will go until the end
During the season it’s the entire nation that vibrates to the same tune

When people shouted "Guy Guy Guy"
It was in spite of the constant fight of life
It gave them strength
They could pump their chests
Here is the start of a successful rally

We can win! We can do more than participate we want to
Win! Tonight we jump on the ice to
Win! If we break ourselves for the victory, we will
Win! We will win!

Finally we make the playoffs, no more stars
Now it’s baston and rififi (french movie characters)
Boston, Philadelphia
With the ghosts of the forum
We ain’t scared of nobody
Every man gives his maximum
So that this year is the one

In Spring the fever is universal
And there’s only one place where ice can’t thaw
Here the blood is like sap coming to our lips
The shout changes in a rallying chant that elevates
( ... Allez Montréal ... )

Our knights are out to bring back the Holy Grail
The tournament is a path made up with crosses of emotion
But the cup we believe it
Like before, we have the faith
And if it isn’t this year
Like René would say, see you next time
Quebecers! We will
Win! We can do more than participate we want to
Win! Tonight we jump on the ice to
Win! If we break ourselves for the victory, we will
Win! We will win!

Allez Montréal!

I can't believe people are complaining about Le But, I love it personally. I liked L'Oreille a lot too though, so I'm honestly fine with either, but if you'd rather have U2 than either of these.....yuck

I actually didn't even mind that Simple Plan song in 2009, to be honest.

Just bring a new goal song, the old ones are boring and overplayed and the current one sucks.
