Query, NCAA/CHL ?

I notice the US team has only 3 CHL players on the roster and Canada will have maybe two NCAA player. Yet Slovakia and Czech Republic are full of CHL guys. I mention this for no apparent reason.
Is the difference in what the coaches are used to or is there a prejudice in Canada and the States against CHL and or NCAA players?

If we can debate the Kessel vs. Crosby vs. Ovechkin vs. Malkin vs. Rose subject
ad nauseum on these boards, we can certainly cut a new guys some slack who asks a valid question. Chill.

As for the question, some believe the U.S. has a bias against taking CHL players, specifically guys who may have spurned the NTDP.
Some also believe Canada looks more favourably on CHL players, as the U-20 team is normally top-heavy with CHL talent.
Others will swear up and down there is no bias. Draw your own conclusion.
