QMJHL American draft useless

Since this draft was started in 2018, no one from the draft has ever played a single game in the QMJHL . At what point does the league see it's pointless and remove it?

Since this draft was started in 2018, no one from the draft has ever played a single game in the QMJHL . At what point does the league see it's pointless and remove it?

I don't know... very useless indeed.

The only positive thing is that we could find is that it gives a few more chances to canadian player to get drafted in the regular draft (late rounds) even if teams can still draft american players at the regular draft. At the end, a few more canadian kids receive a jersey from a CHL team because very few late rounds gets to reach the league.

This draft doesn't provide any player to the league.
