Because conversations don't happen when one side is always shooting for the negative and is unable to accept the other side. It's tiring to have the same arguments about the same **** for literally no reason.
The euro plan was picked after the preseason schedule was made.
Ray addressed this weeks ago. It’s like we purposefully choose to not pay attention so we can complain more.
Can you post that interview?
Last night was the best roster we have iced all preseason, and we still played guys who won't be near the team for half the game. Our vets are clearly going half speed and not taking chances against other teams guys who are fighting for roster spots. Looking at rosters we haven't iced a stronger team than our opponent once, with last night being the closest.I could tell you haven't watched all of the games.
We have not played solid Devils hockey like we saw most of last season
So 1-5 or 0-6 preseason and then 0-2 start to the reg season would not be a cause of concern?
Nope, better start freaking out over our losing regular season record now.Can we wait until the regular season actually starts happening before panicing about it?

If you can’t figure out why the stakes *might* be lower in the preseason, and whether that may affect performance, I don’t know what to tell you.
And I’ve watched every game, save for some time missed in switching between games on the split squad night. So shove it.

Okay...I wonder what type of drugs the marketing department over there in Philly were on when they thought THIS was a good idea?
Hall Hischier PalmieriI'll say this about last night:
Palms/Nico/Hall were men among boys at time. They are going to be a great line for a long time to come.
Smith is just great.
Vats is absolutely awesome in two of the zones and a big dice roll in the D zone. He was one of our best players all night, but there were some times... yikes.
Mueller was ok. Obviously Gryba is pretty terrible - Yak made many mistakes, but showed some good skills and maybe he'll come around.
Wanted to see a bit more from McLeod and JQ, but I expect they'll come around.
Noesen looked a little lost at times - but he shows such great flashes that I'm not worried about him.
Everyone else was meh and there were times we looked terribly flat.
Yes I was kidding you with this garbage. Choleric sentiments after watching a preseason game while consuming a bottle of Bordeaux. The Bordeaux was better than the game. Although actually the sentiments seemed just at the time.
The Devils have maybe approached this preseason differently than last year. But in the sober light of morning I still have no reason to believe this team is ready to start the season hot, yet there is still time. Maybe they get serious when they head to Switzerland.
Hall-Hischier-Palmieri could end up being one of the best lines in the division... but putting those three together means we have a glaring hole at 2RW.
Hall Hischier Palmieri
Johansson Zacha Bratt
Coleman Zajac Wood/Noesen
JQ Boyle Wood/Noesen
Stafford
Seney
I like that forward lineup. I am just afraid of a lack of quality depth in case we face some top 6 injuries.
MarJo and Bratt played solid there on the 2nd line. But they do need someone to shoot the damn puck.
I'm disappointed in both of them because they are so damned soft. I love all facets of Bratt's game except for his inability to physically get involved. Mojo is so damn talented, but he's perfectly exasperating because you see such great potential but it rarely materializes into a goal, and he just doesn't have a 'motor' - always in cruise control.
Bratt will improve with age. Mojo is just going to be my Viktor Kozlov for the next few years.
