Potential trade: Laine + Debrincat for 2x 1st and Tkachuk

Hey guys -- Our pool is a straight-points keeper with salary cap. No penalty minutes or anything.

I have a chance to trade two 1st round picks (which would end up being top 3 OA) plus Tkachuk for Laine and Debrincat.

My feeling is that Laine will develop into a long-term elite player. I also like how Debrincat is developing in Chicago and the opportunities he'll have there. Tkachuk is a good player but feels like a consistent 0.8-0.85 ppg type of player.

Gut check. Is this a positive move?

I think I'd do it. Laine and Debrincat are 1-2 years ahead of next year's draft picks. Both have shown that they belong. Take the birds in hand.

Yeah, I'd go for it. I generally play to win now, though.
