Whoever is the holdup. Something is blocking the trading so far so once that player goes things can get moving again.

Maybe that player is Hanifan?

Other - Oliver Wahlstrom to somewhere else for either a pick or future considerations. Just in time for the conditioning stints of Bolduc and Fasching to end.

I'm going to play the field and say other... there are a few other names out there that might get moved and picking 4-6 guys who will probably get traded over any single one is probably slightly higher odds.

The source is Ryan Whitney.

Hockey fans online are just real desperate for trade rumors right now.
I hate Whitney, but isn't he close with the Hayes family? Because they're related to the Tkachuk's and Kevin is playing in STL and could be spending time with Keith.

So for once, he might actually be a reliable source.

If Brady is moved from Ottawa it will be at least several months down the line. That said, none of the speculation (or speculation about speculation) that I've seen seems too convincing.

The hold up is the salary cap. Teams are waiting to the last moment to maximize space.
To add this this, and since cap dumps are needed and possibly double retention in some, the less salary owing the better for teams that are eating contracts... A player making 5m would get over 25k a day, and the new team would be on the hook for over 1.25m, so every day that gets lower means it's more likely for a basement team to help out.
