Despite some Malkin heroics, the Penguins just didn’t have a good enough team to beat the Hawks.

Congratulations Islander fans, you guys have the better team, and deserved to make the playoffs this year ahead of Pittsburgh. Sorokin is an unbelievable talent as well. The Isles have what it takes to be a true darkhorse this season, especially if they get Barzal back early in their first series.

This is not a dig at the Penguins, amazing how the Islanders to always seem to be a thorn in the Pens side. I'm honestly baffled. MANY of the years you guys were WAY more talented than us. Everything always seems to go in ebbs and flows, somehow this one hasn't hit the "flow" yet. I'm sure we will somehow lose the next 5/6 playoff series vs you guys, has to happen lol.
