Interesting, Zucker going the other way maybe? Hard to fit in that big cap hit otherwise

Edit: maybe Matheson? They seem kind of unbalanced LHD to RHD

Has to be some retention or big cap going back, or both clubs have more moves to make

Petterson would make a lot of sense.

LOL and Letang was rumored as a replacement for a parting Petry.
(...and Petry was sent to Pittsburgh to play on the same team as Letang).

...And frankly, that is the best role for him. In his good days, he's plenty good enough for the first pair, but his best hockey came with him achoring the second (or 1-B) pair, while Weber was leading the 1-A pair)

Makes me feel a bit better about losing Marino depending on what we give up here. Don't care too much about age considering pens have a 3 year window anyway.

It does actually, this team has a competitive window of three more years at absolute MAX and wants to be as terrible as possible after that. No point in being a Minnesota.

But betting on old guys is risky as hell.

The older you get the more injury prone you get.
& the odds at seeing sharp decline go way up

I don’t see the Pens as an elite team with or without Petry
