What's the report on this guy now, Pens fans?
Big summer for him. If he came in looking like a LHS Oskar Sundqvist, it'd be a huge win. He has just enough skill to hang on as a role player it looks like. It'd be great if that was at center, but that's still a lot of ice for him to manage. He isn't talent-less, but he's not very dynamic. For instance, you look at his conversion of zone entries (as opposed to just zone entries, which don't have a tangible value on their own) and it's not very promising. That sort of winks that the whole playmaking package being pretty underwhelming.

The thing is, he has to find a role. He can kind of shoot, but I don't know if you can trust him to finish off enough plays at the NHL level because a lot of his goals in the AHL are goals where he's been open and he has time to process and get his body positioning and posture just how he likes it. Ideally, this is a player that can provide some checking ability and some hitting ability while retaining enough skill to not let plays die with him. But that will take some work.

It's a player that you really hope Matt Cullen can really get through to...

I can't wait until Sullivan bainshes him back to the Phantom Zone in favor of vanilla jabrones like Accari, Nieto, and Harkins again, because they bring veteran leadership and shit.
