If Minnesota is in a deal involving Kessel, they need to make sure they’re the ones getting him. That trade does nothing for them.

There are a lot of moving parts here that make it really tough to judge. At first glance, I don't think Pittsburgh does particularly well and I think Arizona does very well. I also question why Minnesota would move Brodin for Hjalmarsson and Sheary.

I don’t hate the premise. Brodin and Domi for Kessel is a good return but I don’t see how this works for the other teams involved

It would be nice to know what motivation wilds have for gifting Brodin to Pittsburg,

When you look at the teams involved, the only way this makes sense is if Kessel winds up in Minnesota. Arizona paying full market value for a guy who turns 31 around opening day makes zero sense, regardless of the Tocchet connection.
