I suspect Sandstrom will clear, not needed in Arizona as Vejmelka and Ingram are proven NHL goalies.

At the time he was drafted he showed promise and the Flyers weren't nearly as deeply stocked with goaltending prospects as they are now.

Developing goalies is anything but an exact science.

We were hoping he could’ve helped the tank. For some reason, the Flyers have been worried that he would be claimed. I guess because we’re now eyeing the playoffs, they’re not concerned that he’d be against them in a race to the bottom.

That's pretty good. Jack Campbell is barely .800 in the AHL.

Not sure I'd call Ingram a proven NHL goalie with his 38 NHL games, but still better than Sandstrom.

Seems like management's figured out Sam is the right pErsson for the job, especially seeing how he's possibly turned a corner with some improved performances lately.

Factor in goalie Kolosov only 21 and in his 4th KHL season. Will come over at some point. Flyers invested a lot in goalies in early rounds.

Interesting to look at the Flyers draft history when it comes to goalies. While there have been some noticeable early round misses, several of their later picks have gone on to long careers - either with the Flyers or elsewhere (most noticeably Ron Hextall (6th, 192 overall)).
