The fact that Impa Kasanganay is fighting for a championship shows the depth of the PFL. He went from losing 3 of 4 in the UFC to a 5 fight win streak. Hopefully the Bellator acquisition helps sort that out becuase he should not be fighting for a championship in any reputable organization. At least OAM lost to big names in the UFC, Impa lost to virtual nobodies.

He wouldn't have sniffed the playoffs if all of the best of the division didn't get hit with PED suspensions + Akhmedov and Shoeface getting hurt

Pinedo with another KO, this one avenging his only L this season. Great stretch for him finishing Loughnane, Bubba, and now Braga. Him vs Pitbull will be fun

Brunson dominated Ray who looked like shit outside of dropping Derek in the first. He shouldn’t fight if he doesn’t want to cut, he’s not doing shit at MW. Kayla dominated Ladd for 15 minutes

Great first round between Pacheco and Mokhnatkina (who I always thought was pretty good), almost finished Pacheco with that kneebar but the GNP at the end from Larissa was pretty vicious

Nice KO by Ferreira. Feels like he should be great with his size but always been underwhelmed and he was getting dominated in the first. Great win though

Close fight between OAM and Collard. Even with a bad leg OAM’s grappling just too much for Collard who had his moments on the feet

Caught only the Brunson & Harrison wins and some highlights. Liked the integration with Bellator, gives me some hope they'll pull this off.

As an aside, I heard this week that the first PFL ppv only did around 10k buys.

They can now do a 5 fight main card with

Pitbull/Pinedo
Nemkov/Impa
Bader/Ferreira
Jackson/Magomedkerimov
Cyborg/Pacheco

Eblen in for Nemkov if Nemkov doesn’t want it and is still focused on moving to HW. Doubt that both Bellator resolves their GP and has the winner fight Usman, or that OAM is ready to fight by the time they do this card

I think it would be a mistake to structure a PPV this way. This 5 title fight format with no big names is a tough watch. Have a PPV with 2 or 3 of these fights and then have the other fights headline regular cards or whatever.

Structure that will actually get people watching is:
-Biggest name main event you can get (Ngannou, Diaz, Jake Paul/whoever vs a reasonable challenger)
-3 best title fights (Cyborg/Pacheco for sure, plus two more)
-2 other 'feature' fights with recognizable names and exciting fighters (Pettis, McKee, Pico, etc)

.. then just have a couple of those other title fights headline regular cards.

Agree that I wouldn’t structure it this way, makes much more sense to spread them out, but it sure sounds like that’s what they’re going to do
