I was told they never looked faster in training camp. That Power play today was a 0/10 and that’s being disrespectful to the number 0. Truly horrendous and they have 3 days to fix it. GL.
Thought the team looked like they have become old. Might just be the style Philly was playing or the lay-off and Ice condition. Regardless they looked slow.
Was nice to watch a hockey game today though. I sure hope they can go at least a couple rounds to pass some time.

Interesting split of opinions between the neutrals up in the main forums and up here. Lot of them seemed to think it was pretty good hockey all round.
Not sure I'd go that far but that third period form was certainly good enough to beat most teams in the league if held up for most of the game. Tbh, I thought the overall performance was - after all, we went 2-2 against one of the league's stronger sides and created slightly better chances. One bounce different (or one suicide pass less) we win that. I'd like to perform more convincingly but I think the baseline is higher than some were saying. Again, particularly third period.
Except for the PP. The PP was gross.
Pinch of salt of salt, but no team had a higher 5v5 xGF than us last night, nor lower than the Flyers...
You have to realize that HFPens is insanely jaded and will complain about almost anything
If the Penguins play an entire series like that minus the dumb turnovers (specifically ones like the Malkin turnover), they'll easily beat the Habs and will probably beat the Flyers. It may not be enough to beat the Bruins and Lightning, you definitely need a functional PP to win those series, but it's at least enough to get to the 2nd or 3rd round.

Honestly, from a Pittsburgh perspective - you just need whichever goalie is less likely to give up a bad goal. Montreal doesn't have the elite talent or offense to manufacture a lot of grade A scoring chances and require volume shooting to create chances around the net.
So the less those hope and prayer shots have a chance of going in, the less likely Montreal can get on the board. I do really hope you guys get your PP in order for the play-in round, Montreal doesn't have a great penalty kill or power play, so if you can get the edge there, along with the talent discrepancy, shouldn't be an issue.
Price did look good for us last night, which will make things closer than they seem. Although I was encouraged by Murray and Jarry, both looked like they could take the net and not fumble.
If Sullivan was paying attention, Suzuki is our most potent offensive threat, so smothering him should be the main key.
-All of the Habs D except for Weber, Petry and Chiarot got slaughtered, and Petry was only okay
What an odd way to say that two of their defenders got slaughtered.
Nah, it was 4 of their defenders. They ran with 7 D last night, and Kulak, Mete, Ouellett and Fleury got smacked around.
Chiarot-Weber was good, Petry was okay and the other 4 D got hammered.
One of their Athletic beat writers has talked about leaning on Chiarot-Weber and Petry heavily (which probably means Petry sees plenty of two partners).
Three days to fix the powerplay?
How about most of the last decade?
As an aside was I the only one cringing at the canned cheering especially after goals? Knowing how fake it was just made it sad and embarrassing.
