Penguins trade Kapanen
Senators trade Paul, with the Penguins getting the chance to sign Paul to an extension prior to the trade (something like 3-4 years at about $3 million)

The Senators get a pending RFA with a low qualifying offer that they can either keep and build back his full value or flip for likely a mid 2nd in the off-season. The Penguins add a good 3rd liner with size that is (ideally) on a reasonable contract.
