bad news: it was a pretty boring game.
worse news: it's 12:09 AM and i can't sleep
worstest news: same drill tomorrow night, but 1 hour later.

Good news: only 30 minutes later 9:00 start

the bad news is that calgary la and minnesota all won too... the good news is that colorado and san jose are officially done...no need to worry about them any more.

Jets, Kings, Wild, Canucks and Flames....4 out of 5 of those teams will make the playoffs...Jets have the toughest remaining schedule and dont hold any tie breakers...so I would put the Jets chances of making the playoffs at around 70 percent.

Overall it was a pretty boring game, but that's expected from the Oilers.

Onward to Vancouver. Pavs deserves a rest.

Did he actually lose teeth? Are mouthgaurds really that useless??

maybe I should get a full mask....

Jets got it done, helped in part by an Edmonton squad that left it's mojo in the 1980's. Methinks Vancouver will be a great deal tougher

Wild have a tougher schedule than us.

Mouth guards do very little when a puck or stick hits you in the mouth.
Makes a huge different with respect to concussions though.

Oilers seem like a team with a lot of guys who have youth, speed and skill. Capable of beating defenders one-on-one a lot, or on the outside. But they rarely create odd man rushes, and beyond the initial breakout, don't have a lot of awareness of where their teammates are on the ice. They should be so much better.

It's all about their defence. They don't have one good puck moving defencemen. Not one.

It is fairly debatable about strength of schedule. None of the teams have a cake walk down the stretch. We'd have to finish off below 500 to drop our chances down to 70%.
