For the Jets to make noise in the playoffs, their key players have to be difference makers. Assuming the drama around Laine resolves itself and he signs a long term deal, he has to step it up. Ehlers also has to return to form. Hockey can't get here soon enough! Dog days of summer are almost over!

Writer c look aims that Ehlers played mostly on the top line. Why do so many writers fail to do any basic research?

"Unfortunately for the Jets, they had to meet the eventual Stanley Cup champions, St. Louis Blues, in the first round of the post-season. Several key players did not step up in the series, which put more pressure on the rest of the lineup to produce. In fact, there were two players that stood out for the wrong reasons. Nikolaj Ehlers and Patrik Laine need to bounce back this season if the Jets hope to make any noise during their current Stanley Cup window."

Erm what? Laine was one of the Jets' best forwards in the playoffs last season. Yet for whatever reason this writer tries to paint it as opposite. Ehlers did kind of disappear but he's pointing a finger at both, not just one of them. Not quite convinced about the author spending too many hours watching the Jets' run fot the Cup last year. And yeah as was already mentioned, he seemed to be under illusion of Ehlers playing in the top line, which makes me wonder if he watched the team at all. When the facts are wrong from the get go, one of which cannot even be argued, that pretty much shreds the credibility all together. Any professional writer knows he needs to have his narrative backed up and aligned by the facts. This is one of the poorest hockey related articles I've ever read.

Wow what a crappy article... claiming that Ehlers played on the top line, and claiming that Laine stood out in the playoffs for bad play.
Ehlers did NOT spend a lot of time on the top line, and Laine definitely stepped up his game in the playoffs (his bad play was in the regular season), as we all know.
I'd wager the writer didn't watch the games at all and wrote an article based on his feelings.

Not going to tell mods how to do their jobs, but I'm pretty sure we're not meant to either invade other teams' boards or create new posts to advertise our off-site web holdings.

If it is ok, I'm starting a new series of porn sites and my advertisers would love the traffic. I mean... My friend is. Asking for a friend.

F- on the “article,” which read like an aggregator bot with algorithm glitches fed through a natural-language generator from 1985.

B on the poster’s chutzpah for posting this blatant bit of promotion on a rival board well-stocked with knowledgeable posters.

If this season is your article, you should be embarrassed, but at least we know how little knowledge or effort you put into your articles.

Well well well... I was already cursing in my mind that, what's happening. Even though the words "do we really need another Laine thread".

But I found this refreshing! Not in a way that the article was good, but at least reading comments and comments to become. We have at least some thread where we are quite united.

Who could write that...

The writer got his info from some of the posters in the main board of hfboard :)

Actually Ehlers spent most of his season with Scheifele as his center. 432 minutes with Scheifele and 429 without.
