Eklund is like the Jack Edwards of insiders. As in, what is he doing still doing what he is doing?

Gotta give this dude credit. Been around since that 2004 lockout and even had an embarassing segment with SNET back in the day and he is still around lol

Well big RHD to Montreal makes sense.
6.5M for next 6 seasons and dmen like Parayko are usually pretty good for a long time no?

But how often do big RHD signed for years with a decent cap hit get traded?
There was also a rumour last year, more speculation I am guessing that he would only waive for Edmonton. Too lazy to look it up right now new meds for my pinched nerve in my neck has me wiped out. Altho I did post it not long ago

Parayko is not being traded. Period. People speculating are as clueless as Eklund. There is no logic to it.

It doesn't even make sense. The guys been living off breaking the Mike Richards and Jeff Carter trades for like 10-15 years now. But hey, if he's right, people would lose their minds which would be entertaining lol.
There was a point where he had to have had a contact within the organization. Then they brought in Hextall and he became irrelevant when it came to the Flyers too.

I just don't see a fit. Parayko's contract will be in its scarily negative years before the Habs core is vaguely close to being ready.

Montreal wants to clear out long-term deals for older players, not add any.

Habs have Guhle/Xhekaj/Struble/Barron/Harris (NHL caliber young D) with Hutson/Reinbacher/Mailloux/Engstrom/Konyushkov coming up.

We also have Matheson/Savard/Kovacevic (vets) on our current roster, just so you get an idea of the logjam we have on D.
