Panthers gave up on Jovocop too early, ditching his prime years because of a penchant for bad defensive choices (as a young player always giving up positioning to go for the "big hit" and missing more often than not) for the flash-in-the-pan of Pavel Bure. When he came back it was clear he was overstaying his time in the NHL...not mobile enough to be effective.

He was really good for a few years in between that.
