On the Block Thread

Since our All Star is around the corner and trade deadline fast approaching. I thought it would be a good idea to have a single thread and teams can post the players who are on the block and what their needs are:

On the block:

Michael Ryder: Great rating and a good rental player for the remainder of the season.

Steve Sullivan: Rental player for the remainder of the season at a reasonable salary and could be 1st line winger for teams who are pushing for a playoff spot and will compliment well a scoring centre or a winger

Jochen Hecht: can play wing or centre and can include in a deal for an upgraded centre

Jason Williams: Free agent at the end of the season and at a very reasonable salary

Jeff Tembellini: can be moved for a 3rd round pick on this or next year draft

Needs:

I am looking to upgrade my centre positions but a trade has to be cap even since I am at the max.

Sharks Trade Block

Sharks tradeblock

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is Sharks next tradeblock .. still trying to shuffle team and decrease payroll to avoid bankruptcy.

Adam Burish 1,000,000 1 year - waiting for trade committee decision
Chris Osgood 2,000,000 1 year - Available for cheaper goaltender
Ivan Vishnevskiy 850,000 3 years - waiting for trade committee decision
Jamie Langenbrunner 2,800,000 2 years - Available for chepaer RFA forward and depending of the forward picks or prospects might be needed
Joe Corvo 2,750,000 1 year - Cheaper defenseman
Keith Tkachuk 5,000,000 4 years - cheaper forward, could lead Sharks to PO, but situation is what it is
Martin Erat 1,900,000 1 year - another forward
Niklas Hagman 900,000 1 year - can be packaged to other trade
Pascal Leclaire 1,900,000 2 years - waiting for trade committee decision
Scott Gomez 7,500,000 4 years - waiting for all stars break trade
Steve Bernier 2,500,000 2 years - cheaper RFA forward with similar talent
Willie Mitchell 2,200,000 1 year - Cheaper defenseman, probably RFA

After this shuffle payroll need to be under 44mil. if no trades, I can always demote Tkachuk .. but not willing to do that .. yet

In addition to Arnott, Langkow may be moved. We aren't likely to move both players but one of them will almost certainly be moved.

Rumours has it that one of the Senators' veteran will be on the move in the next few days... Apparently, the 2 teams implicated are just waiting on the allstars break to announce the deal...

Those in need of depth for their playoff run...

Liam Reddox and Jassen Cullimore are available for late round draft picks. Cullimore could definitely be a 6-7 defenseman on a lot of teams in this league.

Sharks have received some questions about Erat, Mitchell availability.

All UFAs might be moved before trade deadline for youth with replacement or good replacement only

Ray Whitney, Sean Odonnell, Willie Mitchell and Martin Erat.

Sutton and Pyatt are low salaried and available.

Sturm and Meszaros could be, but would have to be a really nice offer.

I have received interest for Langenbrunner

Contract is good : 2.8mil 2 seasons

Looking for cheap under 1.5mil forward -> RFA

That allows me to sign more own UFAs

Copy from my other thread just to make sure people see...

Pending UFAs Jason Arnott and Paul Mara could both help a contending team.
Defenseman Michal Rozsival is a well rounded player that would fit on many 2nd pairings.
Grinding 3rd liners Travis Moen and Paul Gaustad bring a nice package of CK and DF.
Even goalie Evgeni Nabokov, though somewhat struggling like the rest of the team, has the talent of a top 5 or 6 goalie in the league to put a team over the top.
