Huh that is very fascinating. Hope the year off was a good one for him. I imagine there will be some rust but suspect that he probably hasn't done *nothing* in the time, lest the team probably skip on him due to age?

I imagine the team can definitely lean on some farm depth with drafting options being more limited in recent years.

Philp will be playing in the NHL at some point next season imo, He had a really good shot at making the team this year

You got to figure he was playing the hardest minutes as a rookie and still scored 19 goals at over .5 ppg. Was easily the best player on that team by the end of the season and IIRC he started on the 4rth line
