even their smiles are both equally sexy
If he can get lots of minutes and have his role grow then I'm happy. Seen it too many times where a kid gets five minutes a game over there. Who can develop with that kind of ice time.
A first round pick in an Euro league, even a young one, tend to get enough utilisation. The level of talent at that point is very competitive compared to other players.
Where will Necas play?
The Canes made center Martin Necas of the Czech Republic their first-round pick, 12th overall, in the June NHL draft. During the Canes’ prospects camp, Necas said he might stay home for another season with HC Kometa Brno in the Czech league, again playing on a line with former NHL forward Martin Erat.
Francis indicated Necas may stay put another season, saying, “As of now he would like to play in Czech. I let the player choose.”

Necas alter suffered an abdominal injury in a summer camp game between the Czech Republic and a Swiss team and had to be helped off the ice but Francis said, “He’s feeling good, with no issues.”
Coming to the CHL did Kuokkanen good
I realize you estimated this in your own opinion, but I wonder if this a widely held opinion. My impression of his time in the CHL last year as being well spent is debatable, but I am by no means well informed.
On my phone so it's a pain to link, but there's an article out with Sakic saying he is listening to Duchene offers but right now it's "quiet on all fronts."
Wonder if Bean + 1st does it and we can catch him in panic mode?
Good Lord what is going on with Sakic. He looks awful
So I'm doing an NHL team ranking by defensive metrics (Aka #1 is best defensive, #30 is worst), and Carolina surprisingly came as 20th overall. They are definitely a good team in overall shot suppression, but their scoring chance suppression is very average, and their high danger suppression is below average. The main thing that hurt them was their goals against metrics. They are bottom 5 in every goals against metrics. With Darling as the starter, Ward as a backup instead, and an improved overall depth in defense (TVR and Fleury is easily better than whoever was the 3rd pairing last season) I hope the Canes rise even more, especially with their already good overall shot suppression metrics.
